ALCHEMY
“When we look at our photographs and find not the slightest reflection of ourselves, it’s a good sign that our images have lost their souls.”
I believe there is a natural rhythm to our humanity — an eternal dance between light and shadow, strength and softness, fragility and grace.

These quiet oppositions are at the heart of my work.
More and more, I am drawn to revealing them through the truth of the moment, using film as a way of seeing that is both humbling and deeply healing.

To photograph on film is to write with light.
Caravaggio described light as an “instrument of spirituality,” and in many ways, this is what photography has become for me — a contemplative practice of presence, patience, and trust.
Film asks us to surrender certainty. To release the need for perfection and simply witness what is real. To honor what appears and what remains hidden.

In that stillness, each frame becomes a whispered poem — a fleeting composition where light and shadow reveal the soul of a place, a garment, and the unseen world within.
For me, this process is a form of freedom.

Part I of our four-part capsule collection was photographed on film — an ode to the timeless art of image-making, and to the quiet beauty that emerges when we trust the light.n film. An ode to traditional photo making.
GOLDEN SEASON
“Earth laughs in flowers” – Ralph Waldo
As the dawn of autumn slowly softens the glow of summer, memories of the golden season never truly fade.

October exists in its own in-between light — an ephemeral season suspended between warmth and stillness, where vivid moments gently carry us into autumn with lingering memories of endless sun-drenched days. Though this year unfolded differently than those before it, the magic of the golden season remained — alive in endless fields of blooms, fluttering butterflies, and fleeting moments held in light.

For this past summer collection, the stars aligned in the most unexpected way. I was deeply honored to collaborate with friend, muse, and longtime creative spirit Danielle Fortin to photograph the first chapter of our four-part Fil de Vie collection in California — capturing frames that quietly echoed the romance of a day in Provence.

Most recently, Danielle welcomed me into her Boston sanctuary to photograph her in our Flora Gown during the golden hour of the day. Within a traditional brownstone nestled in Back Bay, layers of silk moved softly through the space — painted with a fleeting palette of late-blooming wildflowers, petal-like ruffles, and a playful sense of femininity overflowing with life.

The silhouette, both dramatic and delicate, recalls the fragile beauty of monarch wings — a quiet homage to the golden season, transforming even the gentlest moments into something to remember.

The Flora Dress is part of a larger story — a collection of sustainable silk heirlooms shaped through hand-crafted construction and created with the highest ethical intention. Alive with fluidity and richness, each detail was designed to preserve the feeling of late summer — carrying one softly from the end of a season into the beginning of another.

In a few stolen moments, a roll of film revealed an intimate story still unfolding — our muse lingering in vivid memories of summer, wrapped in heirlooms of silk. A nostalgic and romantic portrait of returning, if only briefly, to a very special place and time.
FOR THE OCEANS
“No ocean, no life. No blue, no green. No ocean, no us.” – Dr. Sylvia Earle
In search of breathtaking skies and majestic ocean views just beyond the city, we found the dramatic Atlantic coastline to be the perfect backdrop for our Oceans shoot.

In August, we journeyed from Manhattan to Rockaway Beach — a restorative refuge where New Yorkers escape to the sea.

With a 5:00 a.m. call time, the beach revealed itself as an enchanting and peaceful haven. Soft coral skies and cotton-candy clouds hovered above the water, while the sun’s first rays filtered through broken clouds, scattering glistening light across the ocean’s surface.

From the quiet of dawn to the warmth of mid-morning, our time at Rockaway was filled with beauty, adventure, and unexpected encounters with the sweetest dogs and kindest souls.

A few of our most memorable moments as a team.
MOTHERHOOD
WITH ERICA ALMEDIA
“Authenticity is one of the most powerful and admired qualities a woman can possess. It is what makes us unique, confident, and deeply determined.”

Erica Almeida embodies this spirit with effortless grace.
A proud Brazilian, Erica carries the warmth, vibrancy, and soulful ease of her family and homeland into every aspect of her life. She is a devoted wife, daughter, sister, and friend; an inspiring entrepreneur; and above all, a deeply loving mother.

Erica has been an important part of the visual story of Omaskas for many years, and it has been an honor to have her reflect the essence of the Omaskas woman.

As both a woman and a designer, this portrait of Erica with her son Mateo holds a special place in my heart. Today, as we celebrate Mother’s Day, the image feels especially poignant — a quiet tribute to mothers and to the extraordinary women who shape our lives with love, strength, and tenderness.

This story was created entirely by women.
Every detail of the silk slip was sourced and crafted by women in the South of France, where stories were shared about the enduring romance between silk and lace.

Photographed on film by Melissa Isabel and styled by Lisa Rouche, the shoot unfolded in a dignified and empowering environment where women came together to support a shared vision and to honor the talent and creativity of the female community around us.

As a women-owned company, our mission is to celebrate women in every stage of life, with deep respect for bodies of all shapes and sizes.
CINQ á SEPT
“Transcending her art through time – she became her own inspiration…”
A ballet of twilight roses, lilies, and cherry blossoms.
Wilted florals drift across silk like a fading symphony, while the spirit in her eyes gives the dress its life. Her allure is less a whisper than a siren call.

There is a particular beauty a woman carries in the quiet hours after the sea — when her skin still holds the warmth of the sun, and she is deeply in love with herself: with her confidence, her sensuality, and her irrepressible lust for life.

She moves with a sensual elegance and effortless glamour, as though she has stepped from the canvas of Wild Roses, draped in painted silk. She is the woman who fashions her dress from a dream — standing against softened linen, touched by a single shaft of light, her sleek hair parted at the center. In that moment, she transcends time and becomes her own muse.

As the golden light of twilight washes over Provence, she dances through the suspended moments between day and night. These are hours filled with lush tension and quiet promise — a threshold where countless possibilities wait to unfold.

She has forged her own path to arrive here, creating her art while walking in the footsteps of poets.

This collection is a marriage of all her worlds. Inspired by the spirit and sensuality of self-discovery, each piece reveals a deliberate and exquisitely crafted interplay between the gentle ease of the Provençal countryside and the sultry allure of the French Riviera.

The mythology and magic of the South of France permeate every fold of draped fabric. Painted silk, intricate lace, embroidered jewels, and fluid movement come together to create boldly feminine pieces — garments that adorn her with quiet intention, as though she were rekindling a long-forgotten love affair.

FLUIDITY IN MOTION
“Things that stand still don’t evolve…”
I explored the surface of silk — the delicate incongruity of its sheer weave. The emotion of color. The poetry of painted veins and layered patterns unfolding into a dreamlike new journey.

I had left the alleyways of Boston for the sunlit corridors of Spain. Sitting barefoot with my hands and knees in the warm sands of the Catalonian coast, I remembered what it felt like to live without consequence, without rules — and to rediscover the quiet strength that comes with freedom.

And then came autumn.

The leaves turned crisp, the earth grew damp, and nearly bare branches cast long shadows across the streets. The air carried the scent of woodsmoke and with it, the feeling that I had truly lived — and somehow come full circle.

The past felt suddenly and beautifully right.
Feminine silhouettes, diaphanous silks, and a muse drifting down a rabbit hole of fantasy and poetry.

From Provence to Boston, with love.

This nostalgic photo essay is an ode to the beginnings of my creative journey — a reflection on movement, memory, and the poetry of color, seen once again through another lens.

A return to Resort 2017.

GOLDEN HOURS
“To the ripest moments of the year…”
The soft, the dreamy, the romantic.
I have always yearned for this way of living, and now it gently mirrors my everyday life.

Provence in afternoon light. Lavender fields stretching across the countryside. A glistening glass of wine. Portraits of living that feel slightly blurred at the edges — dreamy and tender, neither fully defined nor harsh.

Here, reality and fantasy meet in quiet serendipity.
With each passing day, Provence continues to transform both me and my muse. And just as the seasons shape the vines, I trust that spring will bring new awakenings and even greater blooms.

She drove from Paris to the Provençal fields to catch the final golden rays of the day.

Wrapped in softly knitted, barely-there silk, adorned with stone beading, and barefoot against the earth, she feels a profound sense of belonging -she had missed this sacred corner of the world called Provence.

SHADES OF PROVENCE
“A taste for the grand and passion for the humble.”
As a creative, it is a fundamental truth that our most profound personal experiences are often realized through what we create.
My life feels inseparable from my work. There is a constant exchange of energy between the two, each shaping and informing the other. I came to le Midi — the South of France — to experience differently, to dream differently, to feel differently, and above all, to live differently. We all carry fears. Mine was the fear of discovering the limits of my own potential. A fear that my work, imbued with movement and vibrancy, might lose its relevance in a place where time unfolds more slowly, and where simplicity and quietude are more deeply understood.

But a creative cleansing was necessary. To rediscover what my work truly means to me — what it represents, and what it communicates about my human experience — proved far more valuable than remaining afraid. At first, I did not know what shape this collection would take. In time, I was drawn to the romance and painterly beauty of the landscape. I became captivated by the vivid wildlife of the French countryside and the way its natural abundance contrasted with the elegance of Paris.

I felt as though I were living through a personal renaissance, as if Vincent van Gogh were quietly painting each of my discoveries. White-washed linens dancing on clotheslines. The shores of Camargue scattered with smooth white pebbles. Gray clouds drifting across brilliant blue skies, releasing sudden rain and ushering a profound calm into the afternoon. Here, fantasy and reality converged. These moments were transformed into sculptural silhouettes, sheer fabrics printed with emotion, delicate lace borders, tiered ruffles, layers of knit, and intricate needlepoint embroidery. A collection shaped by memory, sensuality, and the poetry of place.
